Happy New Year!
I’m aware I’m more than a little late to the 2025 party, but I promise it’s not without good reason. In an effort to try and make headway with this blog, I have been laying the foundation for various other related projects, some of which have been taking longer than I’d initially planned.
Rather than continue to be radio silent here and on my socials, I decided it would be best to upload a little “update/what to expect” post—that way, you’ll have an idea of what to expect and (roughly) when to expect it. I may continue this in the months ahead—I’ve always performed better with somewhat enforced deadlines—but for now, we’ll start with February 2025.

What you can expect this February:
- Valentine’s Day-themed blog entry
- Official launch of LK’s TikTok
- 2 romance-themed fiction pieces
- Creative changes to the style of my posts
- LK’s 2025 Reading Goals, including book recommendations!
- Progress reports on The Moon Lies in Wait
- Instagram updates
- Progress reports on my The Thirteenth Child review—with a hopeful release date before the end of the month!
Now, I don’t want to limit myself by saying this is all you’ll be getting this month! However, this is what is definitely in the works and will see the light of day before March 1.

I’ll be honest, this year has been off to an insane start. I’m now the proud parent to two rough-and-tumble puppies, have been making strides at a brand-new job, and am finally starting to make plans for the future beyond paying off bills. I’m luckier than most, and I recognize that. At the same time, it has been a chaotic time, and we’re only one month into the new year. Jeez.
But with all the excitement and insanity, there’s been a renewed drive for my other work. My real work, if you will. The stuff that gets me up in the morning and keeps me going. This blog represents a culmination of what my writing career’s been leading up to, not just with my book but with my online identity as an author overall. Being able to not just make plans but to execute them, to see them come to fruition for people all around the globe…it gives me hope. It pushes me forward.
I want to share my work with you, dear reader. The characters I’ve designed and manipulated and loved for years. The wild and random thoughts that I’ve kept buried in notebooks or inside my mind as the world slowly goes insane. And it doesn’t matter whether one hundred people read these things, or just one. Because so long as I’m able to reach just one other person, it will have been worth it.
Anyways. I’ve rambled on long enough. Expect some exciting times this month. There’s plenty more to come.
Until next time~
